TASK THREE: COMIC RELIEF
http://i16.tinypic.com/2s7i87r.jpg
This is my Unit 7 cartoon; It is supposed to dipict the competition between Apple and PC. Apple uses these television commercials to make themselves seem superior to the other computer companies. They use these series of commercials to degrade the competition and society has fallen for the entertainment value of the company. Although Apple's products are state of the art, other companies are not as bad as Apple portrays them to be...

Hey Tim,
Haha funny cartoon. But I must say I agree with you even though I think that Apple is so cool now. But I think it's also just a matter of ads, because I did laugh when I saw the PC VS. MAC commercials, and what Apple is doing right now is effective as they are gaining a lot of popularity now. And I also agree that they are just doing that so that they can degrade Microsoft to make themselves superior. All in all, it's probably just good business for them even though all these new technologies and new upgrades are just hyped up to make a quick million dollar. You say Apple brainwashed a lot of people? Haha, maybe so because a lot of people seem to be buying MACs now, even though they already have PCs... so I guess the message is out there that MAC is the "better" one.
Hi Tim,
Nice work, but I have to admit I am one of the masses who has "crossed the line" into the Mac world!
Hey Tim
Of all the cartoons I've seen for this unit, I think this one's my favourite. I definitely think Mac's really effective with their advertisements since I too have been sucked into the idea of Mac being better.
I'm with everyone else who's commented thus far - i loved your editorial cartoon and yes, I have been converted. Though, as the assistant director of iCult, I think I'd be shot (by a certain skinny, curly haired, geeky kid) if I hadn't 'crossed over.'
I have to disagree with your laste statement because I really don't think that Apple makes its competitors out to be THAT bad. Also, the majority of people still own PCs so I'm not sure how well the commercials have worked/will work in the future.
